SaleTrail (“we,” “us”) is a garage-, yard-, and estate-sale finder operated by Better Together Branding LLC, an Adytum company. This policy explains what information the SaleTrail app and website collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we do not sell your personal data and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Information we collect
- Location — only when you tap “Use my location.” Your approximate or precise location is used to show garage sales near you. You can instead type an address, city, or ZIP and never share device location.
- Sale listings you create — the sale title, address, dates, and the item photos, descriptions, and prices you choose to post. Because a garage sale happens at a physical address, listings (including the address and photos) are shown publicly to other SaleTrail users so they can find and visit your sale.
- “Buy Now” orders — if you reserve an item, the name and contact detail you enter are shared with that seller so they can coordinate your local pickup.
- Payments — card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe’s handling of payment data is governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
- On-device data — the sales you own, saved/favorite sales, and app preferences are stored locally in your browser or app storage on your device.
How we use information
- To show you nearby and relevant garage sales and their items.
- To publish the listings sellers create and power in-app search, maps, and directions.
- To process “Buy Now” reservations and the optional seller Register/checkout tools.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run SaleTrail:
- Supabase — database and backend hosting for listings and orders.
- Stripe — payment processing for the seller Register Pass and Buy Now.
- OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — map tiles and address lookup (geocoding).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertising networks.
Your choices
- Decline the location prompt and search by typed address instead.
- Remove a sale or item you posted from within the app, or contact us to delete it.
- Clear on-device data by clearing your browser/app storage.
- Request deletion of information you’ve provided by emailing us (below).
Children
SaleTrail is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the effective date above when we do.
